ACRO Check

What is an ACRO Check?

An ACRO check (Association of Chief Police Officers Criminal Records Office) is used for International purpose (e.g. immigration, visa applications or employment abroad and for those applying for visas or seeking employment outside the UK)

Why an ACRO and not a DBS Check?

The DBS is generally for domestic purposes and an ACRO International

What does the Enhanced Service provide?

We will:

  • Meet with you to obtain information for completion of (10 page) application
  • Take copies of your passport and other documents
  • Take a photograph of you holding your passport
  • Submit the application and pay all fees
  • Monitor the application and obtain your certificate
  • Update you on progress
